26/04/2009 20:07:20 Over 400 legal companies contacted over the weekend for inclusion in the search database though numbers have been hampered by currently information available on the internet being either incorrectly displayed or no longer valid. Further highlighting how difficult it is to get the right help. Checking which are simply errors and which no longer exist is slowing things down but I'm on the case.

Streaming Audio added to selected pages of main site, not possible on forum since each page refresh resets the stream play list.

Members may have noticed that recently there have been many Spam member accounts and/or posts. In some cases, these result in ban triggers being put in place, but in others it is too discriminative. As a result, I have had to keep periodically checking in to update the banned IP addresses etc and remove accounts/ posts which is extremely time consuming.

I am therefore requesting that if members notice member accounts or posts which are obviously spam, that they report them so that I can take simply keep an eye on e-mails instead.

The forum will be undergoing maintenance from 12 midnight tonight. This is to allow anti-spam modules to be integrated with the existing forum script in an effort to reduce inappropriate/advertising member accounts and posts.

During this time to avoid database corruption, it is necessary to suspend forum activity. A 'maintenance mode' message will be displayed until the upgrade is successfully completed.

To avoid possible lost posts, members are requested to ensure any posts are submitted prior to midnight.

Wrongly Accused Person's forum will be offline briefly at around midnight tonight to allow updates to be installed. It is not expected that this will take too long but I will send a message to all forum members at the start and end of the backup and install process.

I would like to apologise to all members for the recent disruption to the forum. As a result of reliability issues with the previous server host, it was necessary to migrate to another provider.

While the issue which ultimately led to this move primarily affected the caseblog sites, it was impossible to move that particular service on its own. There may be a few teething difficulties throughout tomorrow while the remainder of files are transferred and the name-server changes fully propagate but the caseblog sites and forum pages shouldn't be disrupted any further.

A couple of issues have come to light since the forum was moved to another host yesterday. The first is that people who choose to remain logged in have found on returning that they no longer are. This is due to the cookie that determines whether you stay logged in or not being slightly different since the move. Once logged in again, your settings should return to how they were.

The other slight problem is that the e-mail accounts associated with wronglyaccusedperson have been affected. Although this is likely to be as a result of domain register settings taking a while to fully propagate, it means I am having difficulty accessing them if I can at all. What mail I can get at I have to access via web-mail which is proving slow and already there is quite a backlog.

As a mark of respect to Annalise, the rainbow background has been placed on all pages of the main site. It will remain in place for the whole of the coming week. I will not be available tomorrow for the same reason, so I am leaving this message now.
