Perhaps you are a friend or relative of someone who is being or has been affected by injustice and don't know how best to help them or even cope yourself. I've read right through your site, and I'd like to congratulate you on such an awesome effort. I'm sure many people will benefit both from the information you provide, and the encouragement you offer for those caught up in the nightmare of wrongful accusation and conviction.

I've been working in this area for six years, and it's terrifying just how many people are affected - there simply isn't enough help for them (or acknowledgement of their plight, which is another story altogether.)

I'll be stopping by regularly to visit the site, and wish you the very best of success. It takes a very strong person to come through an experience as awful as yours, and then use it to help others - that's a real inspiration for others.

I believe I've already made forum members aware in another thread about your 5 star rated book 'No smoke...'. What I would like others to recognise by your being here is the experience you have in this area and how familiar you are with what can and does go on. Hence your book (A link to it on amazon is top right if anyone's interested) and the knowledge you have contained within it. I'm glad to say that I'm sure other members will hear more from you in future.

I am glad to have found this forum if for no other reason than this is a place where there are people who can actually believe that events and information can be twisted to give the appearance of guilt. I haven't been charged with anything yet, but there is someone in my life who has already devoted two years of his life to getting me arrested on various charges and deported (I am American). All it takes is for one authority to take him seriously and I could end up on the 'wrongly accused treadmill. But, even without formal charges, I know a bit about what it is like to live and deal with the stigma and stress and cost of being falsely accused.

Welcome Battle weary. What a trying time for you-you must be watching your back all the time. Why do people have to be so nasty-live and let live thats what I say. It's very sad individuals who spend their lives trying to cause trouble for others. I hope your troubles stop soon.

I'm very sorry to hear of your situation and glad that you have come. So far as I see it, there doesn't really need to be an actual charge brought before an allegation is made. The allegations alone make you an accused person, particularly if they occur over a period of time as with you and as you say the stigma and stress involved are very real in any case. Have you considered legal action?

Firstly let us introduce ourselves. We are the parents of Billy and have decided to join the forum. Our lives, like Billy’s, and everybody else’s in this horrendous nightmare have been completely turned upside down. Our devastation on the loss of our beautiful grand daughter will never go away. We have all lost so much more than any one of us deserve. We have not participated in the forum before, choosing to observe silently instead but since the introduction of the child witness poll we felt compelled to join to enable us to vote.

Seriously though, I know how hard it has been over the past months for mum and dad being aware of everything but feeling able to do very little. I can only say how luck I have been to have their support along with everyone else, it trully makes all the difference. I can understand why you have not joined in before but also your reasons for doing so today as I'm sure others will.

Hi to all, never thought I,d be on this site, never thought I,d be in this nightmare!! My husband has been convicted of a False Rape Allegation it,s only been a couple of weeks my life is ruined and I may lose my home. At present i am having to persevere with our solicitors pushing them to appeal why is everything such a battle?
