I have just had a thought. The answer to the question about who moved the body, etc, and when, might be right here. The search party's statements were not taken until 4.30am onwards on the morning of July 1st. So the only real "record" of the scene would be that recorded by the videographer at 5am - 5.30am.

Therefore, Scrimger would be comparing what he found against what was filmed - how else could he have known that items had been gathered up and the body moved?

There has always been a question about whether Dobbie and Prof Bussuttil simply "spoke" at 5.30am, or whether Bussuttil had been called out and was taken to the scene at that time.

Is it possible that it was Mr Dobbie himself who arranged for the body to be moved, and items "gathered up" - perhaps to allow Prof Bussuttil a preliminary examination?

Sorry- for clarity, Scrimger would have known the body had been moved, because it had been rolled onto a plastic sheet, but he couldn't have known what items were supposed to be where, without something to refer to.

Hi!........I'm in!....I spent half of yesterday morning PM everyone to say we were over here now and have left Big Wullie home alone to argue with himself......and everything went horribly wrong! Not surprising really as I still have an 'L' plate on my computer and judging by yesterdays fiasco...will have it on a lot longer than hoped!
So, if I am asked a question and you feel I am not answering.......it means I'm probably trying to.......and doing something wrong.....again!

Hi girls !!

Yes, I agree, yesterday was a funny old day.  Thank you for the reply to the matter of the body being moved and items gathered up Sandra.

I cannot understand why the body was moved at all until the pathologist had examined it in situ backed up by SOCO and the forensics team. That is what should have happened.

From what I can see there was a general lack of attention and care that night by L&B Police. What did they think they were dealing with anyway??

For a senior officer to take charge some 4 plus hours after the body was found is disgraceful irrespective of whether it was late at night. for heavens sake, it wasn't even midnight when they found the body.  Do they all sleep at night at L&B?  I take it no criminal activity takes place after midnight in and around Edinburgh ??

I just noticed this elsewhere, anyone seen it before??

'Burn Your Wings in Hell'

'When the world around you falls and becomes s*** take the knife.

'All your pain can be taken by one slit.

'Slit of your wrists .. .be free, be happy, just like me.

'Come fly with me beyond the shiny gates.

'We will fly forever because we have been taken from the world.'

Hi nugnug....its a bit lonely in that other place now...LOL

I wonder if anyone has a poem about Luke and Jodi. After all they were in love as 14 year-olds can be. I am sure Jodi would have been horrified at what they did to Luke in her name.

Anyone got a poem for them both?   ...and another thing, anyone got a lovely photograph of them TOGETHER ??  Now that would be nice to see and to promote.

I think that would be extremely unwise.

Well, if you're in the 'Luke is innocent' camp (tiny) that may seem to be 'nice' or whatever but if you're in the 'Guilty / Don't know' camps it would come across as crass, insensitive, vile, (choose your own adjectives), depending on your perspective. The press would jump all over it.

Great! lets have the press jump all over it...publicity is what makes the world go round.

The fact is they loved each other, no-one can change that. Not even the twisted biggots who will do anything to destroy the memory of the relationship they had. Lets have a photo and get it out there instead of the primary school photos of Jodi and the emerging from the prison van photos of Luke.

I wonder what Corinne thinks???

Its great to hear the public are coming forward and contacting the new site with information.
The offer by SF to take a lie detector test got me thinking.

Does anyone know why this is not used more, and was Luke asked or given the opportunity to take one?

An extremely good point Hazel. I have been involved in such a discussion on several occasions with lawyers and Counsel. Their reaction is a smirk if not indeed a laugh.  The law doesn't acknowledge the results of lie detector tests in the UK and Scotland is part of the UK.

Now, in saying that, there is absolutely no reason why such a test cannot be taken and even in prison. It is possible to have the test done in prison with the Governor's authority and I have found that this is forthcoming.

The cost is about £800 for the test but reduces if more than one person want to be tested. Most of the cost is taken up with the travel of the tester up from England.

I didn't hear that before about Ferris, was that before or after he fled to Ayr??
