From above

If we do slip up, we will set the record straight on this page in a clear, no-nonsense manner

This roughly translates to only when we look really really stupid will we admit it :-H
Yes daily record, its hard to quote a "family friend" when the guy is strolling around with a pulse!

Our code of practice is utter bull and we do not follow it and have no intention of following it.

The code of practice we claim to have is intended to fool persons into thinking we are responsible and behave with a moral decency when in fact we do not and please ourselves as to what we publish.

***********************************************************

Now they may not print the above but in my view that is the truth and it seems to be the case and is supported by copious amounts of evidence in copies of the grotty little "publication".

I refer to it as a publication, because to refer to it as a "newspaper" may breach the trades description act and I would not wish to mislead anyone.

This is starting to look like a wind up.

I wonder if these corrections will end up in an annual progress report, followed by plenty of back patting

In yesterday’s edition we mis-spelled the name of Scottish country singing legend Sydney Devine. We apologise to Sydney.

How many times have they apologised for misusing the words "truth" and "justice"?

Personally I think they should include their name in the corrections page, it's not a record of anything. I agree with outsider, even the term newspaper misrepresents the term news.

Poor Syd. Bet that newspaper article ruined her life. At least she got an apology though..

In the previous post, Sydney Devine was given an inadvertent sex change. We apologise for any distress caused to music fans by Sydney's long and glittering career.
