Post your own wrongly accused, rules apply.
« on: May 07, 2010, 08:19:22 pm »

Following the messages received today I have decided that there is a need for a topic on this forum specifically for other related cases to be highlighted. Links to blog pages etc. which have been set up in support of your plight are permissible providing they are tasteful and respectful. Wrongly accused person accepts no liability for the content of such links or the details posted within each topic. It is necessary for me to preserve this site's integrity however so any unsuitable posts or links will be either edited or removed, something I would rather not have to do since each case deserves it's right to be heard so please keep it decent.

Also, there is no benefit to anyone in having several topics on the same particular case so please check to make sure no-one else has already started one on the case you have a connection with.

This site is rapidly growing in popularity so a link from here to your own pages will provide beneficial support, I would appreciate a link back in some form to this site's Home Page (<copy link and paste) as a sign of your support for what I am trying to achieve.

Topics should be posted with the subject in the following format :

<Accused's name - What is wrongly accused/convicted of ...>

Any subsequent discussion must remain on topic and respectful to everyone concerned.

POST DATE
20/04/2009 15:01:53 I would like to highlight the case of Brendan Dixon.

On Tuesday March 1st 2005, at Kilmarnock High Court, Brendan Dixon and Patrick Docherty were both found guilty of the murder of Margaret Irvine.

Both men were given life sentences for a crime that the evidence shows they did not commit.

Colin Miller .

There was no physical evidence in this case. It was based on hearsay and circumstancial evidence.

Police recovered DNA And Footprints from the murder scene which do not belong to any of the accused.

A number of key witnesses, who are no strangers to police, had themselves been questioned about the murder. Several of these witnesses where proven in court to have lied against Brendan

It is important that ALL the evidence is now heard, not just for the sake of Brendan, but also for the sake of Mrs Margaret Irvine, who most certainly did not deserve to be killed.

POST DATE
20/04/2009 16:00:01 Hello Justice 4 Brendan,

I very much welcome you to our forum pages. Is you know from our emails in response to your initial response through the contact page, I am very interested in this particular case and the well being of those involved. I wish you all well in your quest to get his conviction overturned and hope you find this site useful in the meantime along with our more direct resulting contact. However while your post is very well worded and should attract much attention as a result, I'm afraid that it should have been the start of a new topic rather than a response to the topic description, I will start the topic for you by copying the post below but will leave the existing post to highlight to others the point I have just raised.

Absolutely no problem at all. At the time you posted this topic, I hadn't transferred the "Success Stories" topic from the original forum (which was sadly empty, says a lot unfortunately). I have now moved the topic, so will relocate your thread into it.

Thanks for your contributions  :)

Heavens above this thread has just reminded me of Mr Dixon and Mr Dochertys fight for freedom.  I remember reading about this a long time ago.  Do they have a caseblog or a forum.  I would be grateful for a link.

Another case where I believe the police and courts got it wrong. :(

The details you need are in this thread here bah humbug - http://forum.wronglyaccusedperson.org.uk/other-specific-wrongly-accused-cases/brendan-dixan-accused-murdering-margaret-irvine/ - although the beginning of the topic was first started on a different forum type so the first posts have had to be transfered over so don't quite appear as the ordinarily would. They are still there, but the post details, dates etc. are within the posts themselves as opposed to being beside the post in the posters details.

Justice4Brendan has been having difficulty accessing the forum recently though which I haven't been able to get to the bottom of as yet.
